MARCH IS YOUTH ART MONTH

We can make a world of difference for our children by keeping art in schools.

Support art and art education

Endorsed by the National Art Education Association (NAEA), Youth Art Month

(YAM) is a national annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art education

for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs.

Burlington has always valued the arts and it

is  clearly demonstrated in the work and achievements the students

have obtained. Open House at Marshall Simonds is a great time to view

the outstanding work students are creating at the middle school level.

To recognize Youth Art Month a short video has been created to highlight

works created by my 6th, 7th  and 8th grade students.  The work is truly

amazing!

Mobile Monday for March

Can you believe it’s MARCH!

This assignment will definitely challenge you to look closer at the

everyday objects around us.

MARCH IS “Find a smile in everyday objects”.

Be creative. Do not copy any of the ideas shown in the video.

Images must be received by March 22
